Swing And A Belt..Left Field...Way Back And Gone...There She Goes

Came home from work
My bags were in the hall
You were know where to be found
You didn't even call

I traced your steps around the house
And found a note pinned to our bed
It said you were gone and weren't coming back
Here are the thoughts that ran through my head

Why is everytime I think things are going right
It ends up all going wrong
Was there something I missed along the way
Or were you just dragging me along

So here I sit, your photo in my hands
Thinking about all the times that we had
Were you happy those years that we spent together
Or is only now that you are glad

Special thanks to the late Tom Cheek for the title. Not only does it describe something unexpected (As in the saying "That came straight out of left field") but it describes somebody leaving (There she goes) and to top it off it's the second most famous sports call in Canadian history. Now how cool is that, all those things from one call. That dude was a genious

Foster Hewitt's "Henderson has scored for Canada" in the '72 Summitt series. I don't wish I was any older but damned if I don't wish I coulda seen that one. But watchin Joe Carter smack one out off of Mitch Williams is definately a top five "Kick ass moment" in my life
